	Supporting financial advice Skandia specialises in long-term savings solutions to help people to reach their goals. Whether your needs are for retirement, for critical illness cover or for building a nest egg, the decisions on how to provide for them are among the most important you will ever make. Getting the best solution for today and for long into the future is not a choice we believe should be made without advice. For that reason we only sell our products through financial advisers – independent of Skandia, and with a duty to offer best advice. We also believe it is wrong to focus choice purely on price – price is a key part, but so are: flexibility for the future; administration back-up; contract terms; and investment choice. A cheap product without these could prove very expensive in the long term. Advisers weigh each of these in their assessment of your needs and only recommend products if they are competitive, well designed and backed with service excellence. So not only do we support the need for financial advice – we also know we have to deserve the recommendations advisers give us.
