What's Involved?

Apprenticeships are based on a three year programme that requires the apprentice to spend time working in several critical areas of the business. Apprentices learn and develop key competencies during the apprenticeship that they can use in their day-to-day role.

The first year of the programme focuses on Level 2 Customer Services or Business Administration plus the associated key skills and technical certificate. A 'learning-performing' calendar is drawn up that plans out when and how long the apprentice will spend in each of the major departments.

The second and third year of the programme focuses on Level 3 Customer Services, Business Administration or Retail Financial Services. This is the advanced apprenticeship.
During this period the apprentice has a significant role in one department, and combines this with their learning objectives.

The whole programme is made up of modules and the completion of each module represents a milestone, which based on performance provides opportunities for salary increases and recognition.
