Windows XP Service Pack 2 Pop-up Blocker

A pop-up is an additional window that is opened by either logging onto a website or by clicking a link on a page.

On the Skandia website and the Skandia Extranets Pop-up windows have specific functions. For example, if using the Skandia Fundinfo page, a factsheet will open in a 'Pop-up' window. Alternatively, when using the Extranet services, financial advisors may see this notice when attempting to enter some of our Quote and Application services.

Solution: To overcome this, you will need to allow pop-ups to be generated from the following websites.

1. Open the Internet Explorer window, and select 'Tools' followed by 'Pop-up Blocker'. Now select 'Pop-up Blocker Settings'.

2. In the 'Address of Web site to allow' field, input the following addresses (including the asterisk * symbol). You need to click 'Add' after typing each address.

*.skandia.co.uk

*.skandia-life.co.uk

3. Click the 'Close' button on the 'Pop-up Blocker Settings' Window.

4. Close your Internet Explorer browser by clicking the 'x' symbol at the top-right hand corner of your screen.

5. Open your Internet Explorer window again.

6. You should now be able to re-enter the Skandia website/Extranet services.

These additions will allow you to navigate the Skandia website and Extranet services without compromising your newly enhanced internet security.
