Collective Investment BondThe Collective Investment Bond is an offshore life assurance bond, in which you can invest an initial sum of at least £25,000. A life assurance bond has one or more 'lives assured', which means the bond will come to an end when the person(s) whose life is covered by the bond dies. The Collective Investment Bond aims to provide a flexible method of investing money with the potential for growth over the medium to long term (5-10 years). It is designed to allow your capital to grow and gives you the option to take regular, tax-efficient withdrawals.
