MultiFUND

Skandia’s MultiFUND allows you to invest directly into unit trust and OEIC funds without a maximum limit on the investment amount. It is designed for investors who do not qualify for tax-efficient savings in an ISA or have reached the maximum limit on their ISA allowance.

Benefits

Allows you to diversify your portfolio through access to a wide range of fund managers and their funds.

You can hold funds from several providers in a single wrapper.

You can delegate fund manager selection and monitoring to Skandia by investing in the Skandia Investment Management Limited range of funds.

You can use MultiFUND as an alternative investment if you do not qualify for tax-efficient savings in an ISA.

If you have already subscribed to an ISA in full, you can use MultiFUND to continue investing in a similar manner or use MultiFUND to 'feed' investments back into your tax-efficient MultISA at the appropriate time.

Allows you to transfer and/or re-register any existing unit trust or OEIC fund holdings into MultiFUND to consolidate your portfolio for easier administration and monitoring.

Allows you to take regular automatic income either as a fixed monetary amount, a percentage of your account value or from income generated from interest and dividends. Income can be paid by direct credit in any months you want or you can take a partial withdrawal – both without any Skandia administrative charge.

In times of market volatility, you can invest in cash. You can switch back into funds when you feel the investment environment is more favourable.

There can be joint accountholders and MultiFUND can be set up as a trustee investment, for corporations and clubs, or for pension trustee investments such as SIPPS, SSAS and FURBS.

Risks

MultiFUND is intended as a long term investment. If you withdraw from it in the early years, you may not get back the full amount you invested.

Tax rules can change at any time, which may affect your investment.

The value of fund units can go down as well as up, and investment growth cannot be guaranteed.

If you are transferring your existing investments, you could incur a loss of income or growth, depending on market conditions.
